I trained in cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology in Newcastle and Manchester before taking up a post as a Consultant Cardiac Electrophysiologist at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital (LHCH) in 2007. I was clinical lead for the service from 2018-2020. He holds an honorary appointment at Alderhey Children’s Hospital. I moved to Mid Cheshire Hospitals and University Hospital of North Midlands NHS trusts in 2022.

My clinical and research interests include atrial arrhythmias, stroke prevention in AF, paediatric cardiac electrophysiology, and the management of ventricular arrhythmias, including catheter ablation of ischaemic ventricular tachycardia. I teach nationally and internationally on pacemaker, ICD and CRT implantation and troubleshooting, as well as cardiac electrophysiology and catheter ablation of arrhythmias.
